In a recent survey conducted by Doctoruna.com, the leading online medical directory and doctor appointment booking website, users were asked about how they find healthcare professionals, 78% of patients answered that they search for doctors online while a smaller percentage ask family & friends. In regards to booking appointments, 63% say they prefer to book their appointments online rather than through a call center and 66% of users confirmed that they are comfortable sharing their medical records online with their doctors.
With over 92% of Internet penetration* in the UAE and 72% smart phone penetration in the GCC, there is an increased demand from consumers to solve healthcare needs online or through digital platforms.
